Attorney Carney Shegerian of Shegerian & Associates, Inc., a Santa Monica-based litigation law firm specializing in employee rights, moderated an expert panel discussion on employment law at the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC) annual convention this past weekend in San Francisco.
Shegerian led and moderated the well-attended CAOC panel titled “From Hired to Fired: Everything You Need to Know about Employment Cases,” which included attorneys Mark Quigley and Carla Minnard (who discussed “Trying Cases Where the Defendant is a Celebrity”); Daren Lipinsky (who discussed “Emerging Issues in 2016 Employment Law”); and Lisa Maki (who discussed “Winning Cases-Winning Themes”).
Consumer Attorneys of California is a professional organization that represents the interests of 39 million Californians. Its member-attorneys stand for plaintiffs seeking accountability from those who do wrong. CAOC members take only those cases they view as worthy, invest their own resources in pushing those cases to court and are paid under the contingency fee system only if their clients achieve a successful result.
“It’s truly an honor and a privilege to have been asked by my peers at CAOC to share my experiences and help guide this conversation,” said Shegerian. “I always look forward to the opportunity to learn from my esteemed colleagues in plaintiff law and CAOC provides a superb forum for a sharing of knowledge and a best-practices exchange.”
