Shannon Lin

Shannon Lin is an Associate Attorney at Shegerian & Associates, where she channels her passion for giving a voice to the underrepresented and underserved. She is dedicated to advocating for clients with compassion, persistence, and skill.

Shannon earned her J.D. from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, where she excelled in trial advocacy as Captain of the Trial Team. Her achievements included winning Best Closing Argument at the 2021 Buffalo-Niagara Trial Competition and receiving the William M. Pomerantz Trial Advocacy Award in 2022. Through this work, Shannon sharpened her abilities in factual analysis, persuasive advocacy, and courtroom strategy.

Her dedication to justice deepened through her work with WashU’s Wrongful Conviction Clinic, where she contributed to the case of James Thomas — who was granted parole in 2023 after spending nearly 16 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. This experience solidified Shannon’s commitment to fighting tirelessly for her clients, no matter the odds.

Shannon also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from UCLA and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Outside the courtroom, she enjoys knitting, singing, and exploring the world of niche perfumes.
